So where did I go? The first day wasn't that exciting, just to Amanda's gym, tanning next to the pool...unfortunately the pool was closed.
Next opportunity was to the park nearby to join with all the like-minded people taking advantage of the sun...still no pool.
LUCKILY one of the roommates heard there was a group going to the beach that weekend and sent me the link. I was all in! SO the 3rd time of sunbathing I went with a large group of exchange students (large meaning 170...) to Cabo de Gata. It's a beautiful and somewhat secluded beach- just what I needed.
In addition to all the beauty I also got to meet some great people that I'm sure I'll meet up with the next time I'm in Granada.
I was really excited that I was able to fit in another beach day with a friend before I left Granada. Me and Pilar headed down to Salobrena, which is on the coast of Granada. It wasn't quite as nice as the last beach (grainier sand, more people, etc) but I mean, come on, its a beach. Who can complain?
Besides just laying in the sand, me and Pilar decided to be a bit adventurous and headed up to the rock/small cliff nearby. There were some people jumping off into the water but it really was still a bit cold for that, so we occupied ourselves by...
Ok enough with the beach talk, lets move on. As I mentioned, Amanda and I had some time to go out for tapas and one of the the nights we went with friends to a WONDERFUL tapas bar called Los Manueles (I believe...) I, once again, got to meet more people and eat some delicious food. Not bad.
Besides going out with Amanda for tapas the one last thing I wanted to mention is the night me and Pilar had. It was about halfway through my stay and we went out for an easy night to Aliatar (a local bar/club). It was nothing crazy but we had a BLAST.
That is the end of this trip...but it won't be the last time I'm in Granada :)
